Daily Food Illustration
A personal project in which I created a food illustration each day for a month based on meals and snacks consumed during that time. You can see all the images at an exhibition this summer at The Quay Arts cafe on the Isle of Wight. A selection of prints are available from my shop.
A commission of thirty plus paintings to celebrate Thompsons’ Restaurant and it’s inception by Chef Robert Thompson. Along with images of key ingredients, dishes and Isle of Wight produce, you can also see the work that went into making the restaurant by everyone involved.
Quay Arts Cafe Menu
Illustrations commissioned by the Quay Arts for their vegan taster menu evening on November 6th 2018. The menu has been devised by brilliant head chef Dave Holley with each dish representing a month in the year. From the fresh, cool shades of green for spring and summer to the warm, spiced colours of autumn and winter. I hope the menu shows how delicious this vegan menu is and tickets for this one off event are available through the Quay Arts box office ph: 01983 822490 or book online here.
Taste of the Wight Magazine
A double page spread for Taste of the Wight. A magazine which celebrates the diversity and quality of Isle of Wight produce and eateries on the Isle of Wight. This image for the winter issue is all about christmas food from the traditional to the indulgent to some of the festive delights on offer on the Isle of Wight.
A series of images celebrating a selection of chefs who have the amazing combination of great culinary prowess and a lyrical skill with words to inspire us all to eat and cook with passion. All images will be available as high quality prints on my shop soon.
Matt & Cat's Food Review
An illustration of a beautifully colourful pavlova for Matt and Cat’s eating out guide, a fortnightly feature in the County Press and the go to foodie guide to the Isle of Wight. The subject of this particular review is The Blacksmiths, a restaurant and pub just outside of Newport on the Isle of Wight.

Sounds of the City
My entry to the Prize for Illustration competition organised in partnership with The Association of Illustrators and the London Transport Museum. The theme was sounds of the city.
Written by Isle of Wight author James Owen Sowerby, ‘The Whistle’ begins in 1914 and is the first of a trilogy revolving around one farming family and many other characters in England and France through the period from 1914-1920.
The Whistle covers a breadth of issues and ideas from young love to the ludicrous class system in the war and the political ambitions driving military action, the struggles with faith, the different forms of courage, and of course the challenges facing thousands of women who did not want to sit idly by and do nothing. The book provides a commentary on the breakdown of social order during the war and portrays the tragic gallantry of a lost generation and the timeless legacy of war; love and despair, bravery and comradeship in the face of our deepest fears.
I’m very proud to have illustrated the cover and I look forward to working with Sowerby on future editions.
